Cabbage Patch Corner!
Currently Full.
Welcome to Cabbage Patch Corner! My name is Paula and I would like to tell you about our special child care home.
We are located in the Northwest suburb of New Hope, Minnesota. Located near Bass Lake Road and Highway 169. Just minutes from downtown Minneapolis.
I have been licensed by the state of Minnesota for over 15 years and maintain a very loving, structured, clean and safe environment for the children in my care. I am a mother of three and understand the need for quality care for working parents. I made the decision to start my own childcare business after having a negative experience at a childcare center with my oldest child.
I strive to make our home a fun, educational, and safe place to learn for your child. I specialize in caring for children 6 weeks through kindergarten. I offer a preschool program. Activities are age appropriate and "report sheets" are sent home daily. This will give the parents important information about their child's day.
I offer a large indoor play area, as well as a large outdoor play area secured with a cedar privacy fence. We enjoy taking walks, reading stories, singing songs and just being silly!
Provider Qualifications:
Licensed for over 15 years
Member of Providers Choice
CPR and First Aid Certified
SIDS training
Ongoing training in child development
Coordinator of the New Hope summer ball program
Experience in the area of Special Needs (autism, hearing impaired)

My Promise:
I will care for your child in a safe, loving and respectful manner. I will provide your child with age appropriate activities and encourage them to explore and embrace the world around them. I will also help to teach positive social skills through play, friendships and proper role modeling.
I will communicate your child's daily activities both verbally and by sending home a written report. This report will include meals, activities, napping schedule and "potty" practices and successes.

Your Promise:
You will also be in communication with me. I will need to know how well your child slept the night before, when they last ate and any special concerns I should be aware of that day.
You will send your child to my home ready to play with weather appropriate clothing. We love making snowmen and running through the sprinkler!
You will respect your child and my home when your child is ill (I provide a list of exclusions for parents to reference). Remember they need you to hug them when they are ill. Nothing replaces mom or dad. Other parents will appreciate your good judgment by keeping your ill child at home. Everyone will stay healthier that way!
Finally, our promise to each other is RESPECT. Daycare is most successful when both parties respect and appreciate the other.
I look forward to talking with you soon! Please email to schedule a tour and interview. I will be able to answer questions on policies and rates at that time. Thanks for taking the time to stop by Cabbage Patch Corner!
